On December 14, 2019, nearly a thousand guests gathered at the Robert Treat Hotel in Newark, New Jersey, for a special prayer breakfast in support of the upcoming *Peace Starts With Me Clergy Rally: A New Hope for a Heavenly Unified World*. Hosted by the American Clergy Leadership Conference (ACLC), the event provided a key networking opportunity for ministers ahead of the peace rally, which was expected to draw 30,000 clergy from diverse denominations the following Saturday.

The keynote speaker, Rev. Edward A. Allen of the Philemon Missionary Baptist Church in Newark, emphasized the transformative power of love, stating: “There must be love present to have peace—a love that grows from heart to heart, handshake to handshake.” He encouraged everyone to embrace each other as one family and to work towards reducing violence within their communities.

The prayer breakfast featured an inspiring program of worship, a buffet, and musical performances that filled the room with a vibrant energy. The peace rally, co-sponsored by ACLC and the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU), also marked the official launch of the World Clergy Leadership Conference (WCLC).

Dr. Ki Hoon Kim, FFWPU's regional chairman for North America, addressed the audience, sharing the mission of the WCLC to restore God's presence in society. He reflected on the past respect for clergy, noting: “When I came to America 43 years ago, newspapers had a list of the most respected people in the nation, and clergy were at the top. But today, clergy are not even listed in the top 10.” He urged pastors to unite as God's servants and lead the way for His Will.

The upcoming rally, featuring a keynote address from FFWPU co-founder Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, or the Mother of Peace, was poised to bring together people from all walks of life. Dr. Moon, continuing the peacebuilding legacy of her late husband, Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon, was expected to share a powerful message of hope, love, and unity as the world entered 2020, furthering her vision for global peace.
